The Education Entrepreneur: Elevate K-12’s Shaily Baranwal

A successful entrepreneur doesn't need icon status or seismic size and scale. Set business objectives, and reach them.

According to Shaily Baranwal, founder of the two-way, revolutionary live-streaming teaching technology Elevate K-12, the three types are:

1) High growth entrepreneur. This entrepreneur takes investment and continues to scale. This includes Shaily, who is bringing high-quality teachers into underserved classrooms and growing rapidly. Elevate K-12 recently secured $25 million from Trinity Capital.

2) Seeded entrepreneur. This entrepreneur starts a company and builds it for a few years before selling it.

3) Lifestyle entrepreneur. This is a steady business owner that competes without massive growth. For example, they may own a handful of coffee shops.

Shaily says you can't be all three types. Not passionately, anyway.
