Majority of Leaders Prioritize Mental, Physical, and Ethical Fitness

As businesses navigate an increasingly challenging economic environment, leaders are recognizing the importance of adopting a balanced approach to leadership. With pressures mounting from economic uncertainty and rising costs, 67% of leaders say the current climate has made it more difficult to prioritize personal well-being, despite the clear benefits of physical, mental, and ethical fitness. Many leaders are turning to these three pillars as key components of their leadership strategy, understanding that a focus on well-being not only supports personal health but also strengthens resilience within organizations.

This shift in leadership mindset is especially evident across generational lines. 86% of leaders aged 55 and above have experienced a stronger focus on work-life balance, compared to just 55% of younger leaders aged 18-24. Older leaders have also recorded higher levels of mental fitness, with 63% reporting strong mental health, compared to only 37% of younger leaders. As technology continues to reshape the workplace, with advancements like AI offering both opportunities and challenges, leaders are more aware of the need to maintain a balanced approach that prioritizes their physical, mental, and ethical well-being. By focusing on these three pillars, leaders not only build personal resilience but also foster a culture of well-being and long-term growth within their teams.
