Cesar Carvalho, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Wellhub, has built a global platform focused on expanding access to employee wellbeing at scale. Wellhub now serves more than 26,000 businesses, including Unilever and Aflac, offering employees access to a broad network of in-person and digital wellness services. The platform connects users to tens of thousands of gyms and studios, virtual personal trainers, and wellness applications through partnerships with providers such as SoulCycle, YMCA, LA Fitness, CorePower Yoga, and Solidcore.
Carvalho earned a business degree from Universidade de São Paulo and began his career in consulting, holding leadership roles at McKinsey & Company and AC Nielsen. He later enrolled at Harvard Business School but chose to leave before completing the program to pursue a company centered on making wellness more accessible within corporate environments. “It felt like staying ‘well’ was only possible for people with plenty of time or money,” Carvalho said. “That idea of limited access really stuck with me and became the driving force behind what I’ve built with Wellhub.”
Alongside scaling a multibillion-dollar business, Carvalho emphasizes work-life integration rather than rigid separation. He has spoken about structuring his schedule to remain present with family while maintaining professional focus, using routine check-ins to create predictability at home. Carvalho also channels personal milestones into long-term impact through Instituto Acredite, a nonprofit supporting underprivileged children in Brazil, which he continues to grow alongside Wellhub. For Carvalho, leadership success is measured not only by company scale, but by the systems built to sustain people—both inside and outside the organization.
