LangChain has raised $125 million at a $1.25 billion valuation to accelerate development of its agent engineering platform. The round was led by IVP, with participation from Sequoia, Benchmark, Amplify, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures.
Founded to make AI agent development more accessible and reliable, LangChain is introducing several new releases—LangChain and LangGraph 1.0, an Insights Agent, and a no-code Agent Builder—to help teams design, evaluate, and scale AI-driven applications. Its tools are already used by companies including Replit, Cloudflare, Workday, and Cisco.
The company describes agent engineering as the intersection of product, engineering, and data science—an emerging discipline focused on making non-deterministic AI systems dependable at scale. With 90 million monthly downloads and adoption by 35% of the Fortune 500, LangChain is positioning itself as the backbone for building and managing AI agents across industries.
