Lovable CEO Anton Osika Highlights Vibe-Coding’s Role in Software Transformation

Silicon Valley is witnessing a coding renaissance led by Lovable, the Swedish startup behind the rise of “vibe-coding,” also known as AI-assisted coding. Founded in 2023, Lovable reached $100 million in annual recurring revenue within eight months and is now valued at $1.8 billion after raising over $222 million, according to PitchBook. CEO Anton Osika said vibe-coding allows companies to bridge the gap between creativity and technology. “If you take most companies, you have these super creative people that have a ton of good ideas — and they can just, like, throw them out,” he said, adding that vibe-coding helps them turn those ideas into functional software.

Osika noted that vibe-coding frees the “super creative brains” at companies to test their ideas instantly through AI-driven tools. “This isn’t about trends. This is about a new way of building software,” he told Business Insider. Lovable recently introduced Lovable AI and Lovable Cloud, enabling anyone to create AI-powered applications and run projects without coding or infrastructure setup. “I think this is the beginning of a new software economy,” Osika said.
