Assort Health, a voice AI healthcare startup, has raised $76 million in Series B funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Felicis, A*, Liquid 2 Ventures, and Quiet Capital. Founded in 2023 by Jeff Liu and Jon Wang, Assort builds specialty-specific voice AI agents that automate scheduling and administrative tasks in healthcare. The platform, which has logged over 42 million patient interactions, helps clinics streamline operations and reduce administrative burdens.
“Healthcare is so complicated. But healthcare is so complicated. They have binders, spreadsheets full of these really complicated rules, and that’s prevented automation from helping providers—despite them really needing help,” said Jeff Liu, Co-CEO of Assort Health.
Physicians using the system have reported improved efficiency in managing patient communication and paperwork. Dr. Titus Abraham of Annapolis Internal Medicine stated, “If you don’t have individuals working at the top of their license, you’re leaving money on the table.” Co-CEO Jon Wang added that Assort aims to shift care “from a reactive system to a more proactive and preventative one.”
The funding highlights growing optimism around healthcare AI, with Lightspeed Partner Galym Imanbayev noting that “the surface area by which technology and AI can impact healthcare [having] dramatically expanded…leading to unprecedented ROI demonstrated tangibly by customers.”
