Render, a cloud infrastructure platform, has achieved a major milestone with over two million developers now relying on its services to build and scale their applications. To accelerate this growth, Render has secured $80 million in Series C funding, bringing its total raised to $157 million. The round was led by Georgian, with additional support from 01A, avra, and previous investors including Addition, Bessemer Venture Partners, and General Catalyst. Founded in 2019 by a former Stripe engineer, Render was created to address a significant challenge faced by developers, the choice between outdated cloud platforms and complex, resource-draining infrastructure management. With this in mind, Render offers a more intuitive, scalable solution that frees developers from cloud management tasks, allowing them to focus on core product development.
Render delivers a cloud platform designed to support a wide range of developer needs. Whether building a basic web app or a complex multi-service system, Render offers the flexibility to adapt to different architectures without sacrificing ease of use. This balanced approach has fueled rapid growth, with over 100,000 new developers signing up each month. With AI-driven development accelerating, Render is also investing in AI infrastructure. The platform is building tools to streamline AI workloads and ensure secure, reliable execution at scale. This new funding will help Render enhance its platform further, adding features like Object Storage, advanced security, and improved observability to meet the developing needs of modern developers.
