Stoke Secures $260M for Reusable Rocket

Stoke Space has raised $260 million in Series C funding, bringing its total funding to $480 million. This investment will drive the company’s ambition to develop the world’s first 100 percent reusable medium-lift rocket, offering ultra-low-cost, on-demand space transportation. The funding round saw participation from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Glade Brook Capital Partners, Y Combinator, and others. Stoke develops reusable rocket technology, including a full-flow staged combustion engine and a metallic reentry heat shield, aimed at reducing the cost of space access. These innovations aim to support more frequent and reliable space travel.

The funds will support the completion of construction at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, where Stoke's Nova launch vehicle will be based. This historic site will now serve as the foundation for Stoke’s reusable rockets. The investment will also fuel the final stages of Nova’s development and help expand Stoke’s manufacturing and testing capabilities. With the successful test firing of its Zenith engine and continued progress on reusable technologies, Stoke is well on its way to revolutionizing the space economy. The new investment will accelerate efforts to make space travel as routine and accessible as other forms of transportation.
